🥂 Planning & Logistics

The peak season is from April to October. For the best weather, June through September offers warm temperatures and clear skies, perfect for sunset cruises.
It is recommended to book at least 2–4 months in advance, especially for Saturday slots in the summer, as these are the first to sell out.

Most private charters last 2 to 4 hours. If you want to include swimming or a BBQ at a beach like Cascais, a 6–8 hour rental is recommended.

Yes, you may choose your preferred departure time, subject to availability. If your desired time slot is already booked, that specific boat will not be available for that schedule. We therefore recommend reserving several months in advance—especially if you’re planning for a weekend, to ensure the best selection and availability.

Hen do boat parties depart from Alcântara or Belém, which is quite close to the city center.

There is no minimum group size for private boat rentals you are renting the hole boat, so the bigger the group gets, the cheaper will it be per person.

  • For groups between 3 to 12 guests the sailing boat is the best option.
  • From 13 to 18 guests, the  medium Catamarans is the choice.
  • From 19 to 60 guests, the larger catamaran is the required boat for that group size.

Dress comfortably! Sundresses, shorts, and swimwear are standard. Since it can get breezy on the water, bringing a light jacket for the evening is wise.
For safety and to help protect the boat’s deck, flat shoes or boat shoes are strongly recommended. Many captains prefer guests to go barefoot or wear soft-soled, non-marking footwear while on board.

Please also note that high heels are not suitable for marina pontoons. The narrow heels can easily get caught between the wooden planks, creating a risk of slipping or falling.

🚢 Shared vs. Private Tours

Choose a Private Boat for an intimate vibe where you control the music and route. Choose a Shared Boat Party (like the Sunday cruises) if you want to meet other groups and enjoy a “floating nightclub” atmosphere.

Catamarans are generally preferred for hen parties because they are more stable (less seasickness) and offer more deck space for dancing and socializing.

The downside, normally the price is the double of the sailing boat, which makes sailing boats the preferred option for Hen do Boat Parties in Lisbon.

Typically, hen do groups just opt for the Catamarans, if the group is bigger than 12 guests, otherwise the best choice experience/cost is the sailing boat.

Yes, most hen groups prefer to book a private tour, as the cost per person is very similar to a shared tour. Also, doing a shared tour allows to group to stop for a swim, which on a shared tour is not available.

No, shared tours have normally a standart route and duration and do not have a stop for a swim.

If you wish to stop for a swim the best option is booking a private boat.
